Comment on Grow Q&A: Do Organic Pot Plants Need To Be Flushed? by TCG-Vadmin
Good article, appreciate it. 🙂
Those that doubt the necessity for flushing organics need only look as far as Sub-Cool’s Supersoil. Take any 12″ clone, pot it into that supersoil and throw it straight into flower. Since cannabis is a dynamic accumulator, they’ll probably look fine (though a bit dark green). At harvest time you will have cannabis flowers that smoke harsh, hot and leave a heavy black ash. This particular supersoil grows better quality when the plant is vegged for weeks in it before flowering begins.
Organic or not, cannabis is a dynamic accumulator and will pack excess elements into new growth. These excesses do not flush or fade out at harvest time. Flushing near harvest will remove the ‘current’ excesses in the soil, softening the smoke a bit. Superior quality cannabis is grown with a balanced nutrient profile without excess. Amazing difference.
Looking for the smoothest, softest, most complex flavors and aromas and the highest cannabinoid production? (for the genetics you’re flowering) I published the book that covers all the information I’m unable to find on the net and in other books. A must read for any experienced grower and a great companion guide for new growers.
